DFT
Meter is also called as coating meter basically DFT means Dry Film Thickness
Meter, this device used to measure the thickness of dry coating paints. The
thickness of paint is measure in microns when it is dry.
DFT
Meter is commonly used application for the checking of thickness of painting
coat in microns. By which we can measure the actual thickness of paint as per
requirement. Excess of paint also dangerous for the given application so the adequate
paint required which can be measure by DFT Meter.
The working principle
of DFT Meter in such way that, the sensor is at the bottom of probe which connected
by wire to the device. The probe is put on surface to measure the thickness of
painting coating the probe is perpendicular to the surface so that the measured
actual microns of DFT.
This device is very simple to handle
and also portable device.

At the bottom of the probe consisting sensor by putting the sensor on application we can measure accurate readings in microns.
During inspection of dry
film thickness of paint the probe required to calibrate by circular calibration
block by putting the probe on block and calibrated by sample foils having
different readings mentioned in microns on it. The sample picture of calibration
