Conical Dished End
As per name that type of
dished ends is in conical shape. The diagrammatically view of conical Dished end

The Conical Dished
End widely used in pressure vessels at bottom side or middle side as per
requirement. The shape of such kind of dished ends is concentric cone type
consisting to ends one is large end other is bottom end the knuckle radius for
both of ends is different which depends on the OD/ID
of respective attached shell/Part.
Inspection of
such kind of dished ends also done by measuring ID/OD at both ends, measuring
thickness at knuckle area, and the shape of knuckle checked by template. The
main parameters in conical dished end is height, knuckle radius ID/OD of both
ends, conical shape, Thickness etc. The cone dished ends formed by cold dishing,
flanging, pressing etc. Large numbers of vendor and manufacturer available in
market who formed different thickness with different angle of conical Dished End.

Different types of and as per requirement the conical dished ends manufactured by vendors.the upper and lower radii and shape of conical dished end is prepared as per template built as per given engineering-drawing.
Visual inspection is also major parameter during inspection because some scratched formed on the dished ends due to pressing . The scratches required to grand properly before inspection and making the edge preparation at bottom and top end as per engineering drawing is required.
