Diameter), Height etc.

of dished end is,
The required height of such kind of dished end is 25% of I.D. ie.
Crown Radius is calculated by 0.9 x I.D.
Approximate Blank Diameter calculated by the
formula,
1.17 x I.D. + (2 x S.F.)
The profile checked by of template. Generally 2:1 Ellipsoidal Dished End
is extremely used in petroleum gas, unfired pressure vessels, air receivers
etc. for medium pressure vessels that type of dished end is ,most economical type Dished End.

During inspection visual inspection and inspection of defects which open to the surface of dished end both inside and outside is checked by NDT method DP Test (Dye Penetration Test). Any defects such as any kind of arc stag,spatter scratches is required to grand properly before offer to the inspection. The Straight face as per given engineering drawing and the edge preparation of dished end required to mentain drawing.The shape of crown and knuckle area is checked with help of template. The template is required to cheeked as per layout, so overall multiple number parameters checked by inspector as per given code and standard and as per engineering drawing.
